YEAR AND PLACE OF BIRTH : Born to A. Narsa Reddy and Laxmamma in 1949 Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY garu grew up to qualify as an Electrical engineer from the Osmania University in the year 1974.

FAMILY PROFILE : A native of Nalgonda district, Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY married Uma Devi in 1970.They were blessed with a daughter, Srujana in 1975, a son Sandeep, in 1977, and a daughter Swetha in 1979. The three children grew up to follow their illustrious father's academic footsteps by studying to become qualified engineers.

PERSONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT :

1975-This year saw the soft-spoken Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY start a fertilizer shop bearing the name ' Jai Kisan Agro Services' initiated under the SBH Self Employment program for technocrats.In the same he procured a tractor to be used for civil works.1977-This year a Sensitive gentleman, soft at heart, he showed deep concern for the drinking water problem faced by the people of his native district, Nalgonda. He translated his concern to deeds by introducing Bore well Rigs for the first time in the district of Nalgonda.

He also procured 6" rigs the same year.

1982-five year after his noble efforts to alleriate the drinking water problem of the people of Nalgonda, Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY established a Tiles Industry in Bhongir, which served as a launching pad for his long and luminous political career in 1981.

THE NEXT GENERATION :

Srujana :1996-Srujana the year saw the Graduation of Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY's elder daughter, Srujana as a qualified Engineer in Computer Science. She pursued her academics further to become a Postgraduate in Computer Science in 1997.

1997- Srujana now a qualified Master in Computer Science, entered a new phase in life in the year 1997. She married Mr. M. Goutam Reddy an industrialist. She is now settled in Bangalore where her husband's industry flourishes.

Swetha :1996-The year saw Swetha, the younger daughter of Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY enter a professional course in her academic career. She joined the branch of Engineering that saw her elder sibling Srujana Master in Computer Science.1999-In the year 1999, Swetha, while still a student of B.E. entered a new phase in her life. She married Mr. J. Vijay Reddy an MBA and a Civil Contractor.

Following her elder sister's footsteps Swetha too decided to settle down in Bangalore , which is now her hometown.Sandeep Reddy :The only son of Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY and Smt. A.UMA DEVI, Sandeep Reddy is doing his final year B.E. in Electronics and Communications.

The first step into politics : 5th May, 1981






5th May, 1981 : Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY took his Sarpanch first step in politics being elected unamiously as Sarpanch of Wadaparthy -his place of Birth.
10th June, 1981 : Less than 5 weekss after assuming Office
Samithi President : as Sarpanch, Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY took charge as Panchayat Samithi President. He continued in the office as Samithi President for four years and two months.
August, 1985 : The 36-year-old Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY
MLA : stepped into the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1985 for the first time as MLA of the Telugu Desam Party, under the leadership of the Late Sri N.T Rama Rao. He secured a majority of 34,248 votes.
15th March 1989 : Three years after being elected as MLA Minister of Home Sri A.MADHAVA REDDY was inducted into& Cinematography the Cabinet as Home Minister under the Chief Ministership of Late Sri N. T. Rama Rao. He continued as Minister of Home & Cinematography for 8 months from March 1989 to October 1989.
November, 1989 : Fielded as the TDP candidate from MLA for the 2nd Bhongir constituency Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY was elected for the 2nd consecutive time as MLA with a majority of 22,867 votes.
May 1990-1994 : He served the party as the General
General Secretary : Secretary from May 1990 - May 1994.
December 1994 : In the General election to the State
MLA for the 3rd : Assembly in December 1994.
consecutive term : Sri A.MADHAVA REDDY was elected for the third consecutive term as MLA from Bhongir constituency with a majority of 42,000 votes.
12th December, : For the second time in his political
1994 Minister for : career Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY wasHealth & Medical inducted into the cabinet of Late SriEducation N.T. Rama Rao as the Minister for Health & Medical Education. He served for 9 months from December 1994 to August 1995 in this capacity.
September 1995 : Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY was inducted Minister for Home into the State Cabinet for the 3rd time & Cinematography as minister for Home & Cinematography in the cabinet of Sri N. Chandra Babu Naidu. He served as the Home Minister for 4 years. This was the longest period ever served by a politician after Sri J. Vengala Rao.
6th October 1999 : In the election to the state assembly in MLA for the 4th October 1999 Sri A. MADHAVA REDDYconsecutive term was elected as MLA for the 4rth consecutive time with a majority of 8,300 votes.
11th October 1999 : After serving the state as Home Minister Minister for 4 years, he was allocated for the Panchayat Raj & Rural Development PR & RD Portfolio in the new cabinet on 11th October 1999.

HOME & CINEMATOGRAPHY (March 1989 - October 1989 & September 1995 - October 1999)

As a State Minister of Home Affairs Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY earned a reputation for himself as a soft spokesman, lion hearted statesman. He stood unflinching in the face of opposition to measures taken to control Law & Order in the State. The tough steps taken by him were welcomed by the one and all and it was generally felt that he was the right person for the tough Job.

During his tenure twice as the Home Minister first in 1989 in the Late Sri N. T. Rama Rao's cabinet and then in 1995 in the Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu's Cabinet, Sri A. MADHAVA REDDY proved that he could be there to hold the bull by the horns.
